WLIM STAFF
WLIM maintains a dedicated staff of both full time and part time chaplains, a deaconess, executive director, director of ministry advancement, development director and lay volunteers who bring the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to people in prisons, jails, hospitals, care centers, nursing homes, child & adolescent treatment centers, mental health and drug & alcohol treatment centers.

is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
After a 22-year career in marketing, advertising and public relations management, Mr. Borgwardt was called to serve the WLIM ministry in 1993. In 2006, he received WELS staff ministry certification.
As executive director, Mr. Borgwardt manages the overall and day-to-day operations of the WLIM ministry, staff supervision, strategic planning, development of resources for the ministry, financial and human resources management and ministry public relations. Click here to contact Mr. Borgwardt.

is a 1975 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Pastor Iles joined WLIM in 2000 after 25 years of parish ministry in Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Chaplain Iles spends the majority of his time at a number of state correctional institutions, especially in the Waupun, Fox Lake and Oshkosh areas. Click here to contact Chaplain Iles.

is a 1986 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Pastor
Krause joined WLIM in 2007 after two years of college teaching and 19 years of parish ministry in New York, Michigan and Wisconsin. Chaplain Krause serves at a number of state correctional institutions, especially in the Oshkosh and Green Bay areas. Click here to contact Chaplain Krause.

is a 1958 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, served congregations in Montana for 13 years before coming to Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries in 1971. Now retired, Chaplain Lenz continues to work part-time as a jail chaplain for WLIM at the Milwaukee County Jail. Click here to contact Chaplain Lenz.

is a 1981 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. After eight years of parish ministry in Florida and Wisconsin, Pastor Merten was called to WLIM in 1989. Chaplain Merten spends the majority of his time ministering with people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction and manages "Grace Oasis," WLIM's Friday evening ministry to people recovering from addictions. is a 1993 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College and UW-Milwaukee with a masters degree in Community Counseling. She has served as the first full-time deaconess at WLIM and within the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod since her graduation from college. Mrs. Owens works with children and youth, particularly at the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center and women at the Milwaukee County Jail. is a 1974 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He accepted a call to WLIM in 1999 after 25 years of parish ministry in Illinois. Pastor Pasbrig handles the ministry's public relations, recruiting and training of volunteers and promotes financial support of the Lord's work carried out by WLIM. is a 1993 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Pastor Radsek joined WLIM as Resource Development Director in 2006 after serving in the parish ministry for 13 years. serves in a part-time position with WLIM after retiring in December, 2007 after 21 years as development director for Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Services. A 1963 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Pastor Sievert also served in parish ministry in Montrose, MN and Onalaska, WI, and 15 years as administrator/principal at St. Croix Lutheran High School.
Pastor Sievert advises and assists the efforts to develop and expand financial support for the WLIM ministry from individuals, congregations and church-related groups.

serves part-time as a staff minister with WLIM after an 18 year career as a Lutheran Elementary School principal and teacher and 22 years as owner of Oshkosh Church Supply in Oshkosh, WI, before retiring in 2008. Staff Minister Krause oversees an expanding nursing home ministry in the greater Oshkosh, WI area.

Wenzel accepted a call to serve as an institutional chaplain in
