Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries (WLIM) brings the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to institutionalized men, women and children in prisons, jails, hospitals, nursing homes, child & adolescent treatment centers, juvenile detention centers, mental health and drug & alcohol treatment centers. WLIM is a para-synodical ministry of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The WELS is a conservative, confessional-based Lutheran synod which believes in salvation by grace and the inerrancy of the Bible. Currently, the ministry serves in the three Wisconsin districts of the WELS, a geographic area covering upper Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, western Indiana and northern Kentucky.
