NEW CHAPLAINS JOIN MINISTRY
WLIM welcomes our two new chaplains, Pastor Dan Krause and Pastor Mark Wenzel (not related to Chaplain Ken Wenzel).
In a move to expand ministry, at WLIM's November 10, 2007 Annual Meeting Chaplain Krause (who had been part-time) was extended a full-time call by WLIM Association Delegates to serve the ministry beginning January 1, 2008. Chaplain Krause is serving Fox River Valley area prisons and mental health facilities from his home in Oshkosh. He is a 1986 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
Chaplain Wenzel is currently in a Clinical Pastor Education course at Mt. Sinai Hospital (Aurora Medical Center) in Milwaukee. Four units of “CPE” are now required for chaplaincy service at Froedtert Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee. Beginning in August, 2008, Chaplain Wenzel will be serving at Froedtert (replacing retired Chaplain Steve Stern) and county jail and other hospital ministry in the greater Milwaukee area. Chaplain Wenzel is a 1988 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
We welcome both men and wish them the Lord’s richest blessings in their new ministries. |
